Hans-Dieter Hermann

Prof. Dr. phil.

 

Dr Hermann has been working as a sports psychologist in high-performance sport and as a coach for top management in international companies for 30 years. In addition to competitive athletes and coaches, the German Psychological Society’s award-winner’s clientele also includes top executives in German business.
 
He is best known for his many years as a sports psychologist for the German men’s national football team (2004-2024). He has also provided counselling to Austrian ski racers, German gymnasts, track and field athletes, boxers and hockey players, among others.
 
He has also made a name for himself in the psychological counselling of professional individual athletes in tennis, golf and Formula 1.
 
He is the owner of the internationally active ‘Coaching Competence Cooperation’, which focuses on optimising the performance requirements of managers and their teams in sport and business.
 
As an honorary professor, he teaches at the Institute for Sports Science at the University of Tübingen.
 
Hans-Dieter Hermann was active as a sports psychology expert for the Second German Television (ZDF) for the coverage of several Olympic Games.
 
He is the author of numerous publications.
